It’s no secret that I’d like to live abroad. When I visit a new place, I’m sort of auditioning it to see if that’s where I’d like to live. Recently, I’ve decided that I may want to begin by extending my vacations beyond the typical week to include a stay of at least one month. Since I don’t teach during the winter session and only teach half of the summer, I think this is feasible time-wise. It’s the financial part of this that’s holding me back for now. I’ll continue to save and search for great deals and ideas.
Alternatively, I’ve thought about taking the ultimate leap by living and working wherever fate may take me for 2 years. I have started and abandoned my Peace Corps application more times than I care to admit. For whatever reason, I just couldn’t bring myself to write and submit my essays. I suppose I wasn’t ready. Am I ready now? Stay tuned…
One of my friends went to Belize with the Peace Corps, but she just recently came back before her time was up. Haven’t gotten the story on why. I could see you in the peace corps.

Any specific locations you have in mind so far?

Nope not a one. Lol! My only preference is that I won’t need a real winter wardrobe, but even that is negotiable if the country/city is awesome. I will think about this some more, come up with a list of 5 places I might want to live, and post them on Monday.
